This is a short video from my new just launched Cooking At Home Productions. Early on during the Covid-19 virus pandemic, while we were staying at home and social distancing, I decided to interject assorted projects around my real estate work schedule. Since one of my favorite pastimes is cooking, and I do a lot of it, I decided to pull out my tripod and iphone and video tape a “how to” on making Boyos, a delicious edible family favorite. Making boyos takes hours between the making of the dough, its two risings, chopping and mixing the ingredients, but I can tell you, it’s well worth the effort. If you have time to devote to home cooking, I guarantee making boyos is well worth the effort. And, since my wife Barbara is such a great baker and has a great feel for working with flour (she is a Best of Show KCRW Pie Contest winner), I defer to her when making the dough. Not that its hard, but it’s fun and a bit easier to do it with someone. So, if you are hunkered down with someone else during this Stay at Home order, or if you’re reading this and that time has passed, find someone you enjoy spending time with, and do this together. You wont be disappointed. Also, I suggest doubling the recipe. Boyos freeze well and you can keep some on hand well after you’ve made them. Enjoy.

Thanks, Maureen. Living with a stash of boyos makes sheltering in place much more tolerable. Thanks for watching.
